Please get in touch to organise a free, no-obligation conversation about what's going on for you, and how I can help.
The initial telephone conversation will last 15 minutes.
Your first appointment will allow us to get to know each other more, helping me understand the issues you are facing in more depth.
Our first session will last 60 minutes.
One-to-one talking therapy, based in-person or online. The frequency of sessions is completely up to you but may be guided by our time together.
Each session is 50 minutes.
Whatever you are struggling with, you don’t have to make sense of it all on your own.
At Arrow of Hope Counselling, I recognise that no two people are the same, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counselling. Our work together will be shaped around you and your experiences, your needs, your circumstances and what matters most to you.
My role is not to tell you what to do or to try to “fix” you. I will walk alongside you, offering a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore what is happening in your life and begin to make sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I draw on Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT approaches, allowing our work to be flexible and responsive to what you need. Sometimes this may mean making sense of the past; at other times, finding ways to manage what you are facing today or exploring what you want your future to look like.
Counselling isn’t about changing who you are or telling you how you should live your life. It is about creating the space to discover who you are, understand yourself more deeply and reconnect with the person beneath the experiences that have shaped you.
Whatever has brought you to counselling, we can work together towards greater self-understanding, emotional wellbeing and a life that feels more authentically yours.
You don’t have to have all the answers before you begin. Sometimes, finding hope starts with having the space to be heard, understood and truly seen.
Whether you are wishing to cut down, make changes to your relationship with an addictive behaviour, or work towards complete abstinence, seeking support is a courageous step towards change.
Addiction can be difficult to understand and can affect every area of life. It can involve compulsive behaviours that continue despite negative consequences, often leaving people feeling trapped, ashamed, overwhelmed or unsure how to move forward.
At Arrow of Hope Counselling, I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about your experiences without fear of being judged. My approach to addiction is informed by over 30 years of personal and professional experience, giving me a deep understanding of the challenges that addiction and recovery can bring.
Together, we can explore what may be underneath addictive behaviours, including emotions, experiences, triggers, relationships and patterns that may have developed over time. Counselling can support you in developing healthier coping strategies, building self-awareness, understanding your triggers and strengthening your recovery.
Whether you are struggling with alcohol, drugs, gambling, food, sex or other addictive behaviours, or are navigating life in recovery, our work will be tailored to your individual circumstances and where you are in your journey. There is no judgement and no expectation that you have everything worked out before you begin.
Seeking help for addiction is an act of courage and hope, and a deep commitment to your wellbeing. I am here to support you every step of the way, walking alongside you as you develop greater understanding, build healthier coping strategies and begin to embrace a healthier, more empowered way of living.
I also offer support to family members and loved ones affected by addiction. Addiction doesn’t only impact the person experiencing it; it can have a profound effect on those around them too. Counselling can provide you with a safe space to process your own feelings, understand the impact of addiction, develop healthier boundaries and find ways to cope.
Recovery is possible. Hope is possible. And you don’t have to face it alone.

I draw on a number of therapeutic approaches, and tailor them to what you need rather than fitting you into one model. Here's a brief guide to each.
A practical, present-focused approach that looks at the links between thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. CBT helps you notice unhelpful thinking patterns and build more helpful ways of responding to life's challenges.
Built on empathy, honesty, and unconditional positive regard. This approach trusts that you are the expert on your own life — I simply offer a warm, non-judgemental space for you to explore at your own pace.
Looks beneath the surface at how past experiences and unconscious patterns shape present-day thoughts, feelings, and relationships, bringing deeper understanding to struggles that keep resurfacing.
Considers how our earliest relationships shape the way we connect, trust, and feel safe with others as adults. Understanding your attachment style can bring real clarity to relationship patterns and emotional responses.
A gentle way of reconnecting with the younger part of you that may still carry old hurts or unmet needs, supporting healing from childhood experiences that continue to shape you today.
Focused on the here and now — what you're feeling, sensing, and experiencing in the present moment. It builds self-awareness by helping you notice patterns as they arise, rather than just talking about them.
